Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk Agreement

Please read carefully. By booking and participating in any The Wolfpack session, you agree to the following terms.

1. Acknowledgement of Risks

I understand that participation in pickleball involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Minor injuries such as bruises, sprains, strains, and dehydration.

  • More serious injuries such as eye injuries, joint or back injuries, heat‑related illness, concussion, or cardiac events.

  • Rare but severe injuries.

  • Risks associated with the actions or negligence of other participants.

  • Risks related to communicable diseases.

I acknowledge that these risks cannot be fully eliminated, even when reasonable care is taken by The Wolfpack Pickleball Club.

2. Voluntary Participation

I confirm that my participation in any The Wolfpack Pickleball Club activity is voluntary, and I choose to participate with full knowledge of the risks involved. I confirm that I am physically able to participate and have sought professional medical guidance where required.

3. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, I hereby release, waive, and discharge The Wolfpack Pickleball Club, its coaches, staff, volunteers, contractors, venue partners, and representatives from any and all liability for:

  • Personal injury

  • Property damage

  • Illness

  • Loss

  • Any other harm arising from participation in pickleball activities, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

4. Indemnity

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Wolfpack Pickleball Club and its representatives from any claims, actions, costs, or liabilities (including legal fees) arising from my participation or behaviour during any session, event, or use of facilities.

5. Safety & Conduct

I agree to:

  • Follow all instructions from The Wolfpack coaches and staff.

  • Use equipment responsibly.

  • Act in a manner that prioritises the safety of myself and others.

  • Refrain from participating if I am unwell, injured, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

6. Media Consent

I grant permission for The Wolfpack to use photos or videos taken during sessions for promotional or educational purposes (You may opt out by notifying staff).

7. Emergency Care

In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorise The Wolfpack staff to arrange appropriate medical assistance. I understand that any associated costs are my responsibility.

8. Minors

If the participant is under 18, this waiver must be reviewed by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to all terms on behalf of the minor.

Cancellation Policy

1. General Policy All group session bookings made with The Wolfpack Pickleball are subject to the following cancellation terms. By completing a booking, participants acknowledge and accept these conditions.

2. Cancellation Timeframes

  • Cancellations submitted more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled session start time are eligible for a full refund or session credit, at the participant’s discretion.

  • Cancellations submitted within 24 hours of the scheduled session are not eligible for a refund or credit, due to court hire, coaching allocation, and session preparation already being committed.

3. Non‑Attendance Participants who do not attend their booked session (“no‑show”) will forfeit the booking in full. No refund or credit will be provided.

4. Session Cancellation by The Wolfpack In the event that The Wolfpack must cancel a session (including but not limited to coach unavailability, venue issues, or safety concerns), participants will receive a full refund or credit.

5. Refund Method Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method. Credits may be applied to future group sessions.

6. Amendments The Wolfpack reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Any updates will be published on this website and will apply to future bookings.
